Investigating Gated ReRAM

Abstract

My senior design project focuses on researching the aptitude and application of 3-Terminal ReRAM, or Gated ReRAM. It is a promising non-volatile memory type that has great potential in neuromorphic and low voltage device utilizations. Through this project, I have illustrated the advantages of a 3-terminal (3-T) resistive random access memory type over a 2-terminal (2-T) device. Additionally, I have exemplified three different types of gated ReRAM that can be advantageous to the neuromorphic community, namely ECRAM, ENODe, and LISTA. Lastly, I experimented with boolean matrix chain products in 2-T ReRAM in attempt to apply it similarly in 3-T ReRAM.
